Arsenios the Great May 8. He was from an patrician family and was selected as the instructor for the children of the Emperor, Theodosius. He left the imperial city for Scetis in Egypt to live as an ascetic in a cell that was as a tomb and lived this way for fifty-five years. He considered himself as dead. He reposed at the age of 100.
