Theotokos, Unexpected Joy-There was a man who lived during the time of St. Dimitry of Rostov in 17th century Russia. This man had great devotion to the Holy Theotokos. But in spite of his devotion he would continuously and deliberately sin. He would daily pray before her holy icon offering up praises to her from his heart singing as the angel did, ?Rejoice thou who art full of grace....? One evening as he was about to go out and commit some sort of sin, he stopped to offer up his prayer to the Holy Theotokos.
